Visit Joni’s Coffee Marina Del Rey!

Posted on Friday, April 28, 2017 by Nikki Dussault.

Living on The West Side, let’s face it: We deal with alot of traffic and parking lots. When you are looking to grab a great breakfast and coffee, you often just opt for the best drive-thru option. That is, unless you check out Joni’s Coffee.

When you visit Joni’s Coffee Shop Marina Del Rey, you begin with a mellow beginning as, alas, it is usually extremely easy to find your perfect parking spot in their lot. Once you make your way in, be prepared to take a good look over the menu as you may have thought Joni’s was just another coffee shop, but they boast an incredible breakfast menu with famous Belgian waffles, poached eggs, or, if you are in need of a more “LA friendly” plate (AKA: healthy), try their flourless pancakes or the Marina Athletic Club (egg white omelette, pancake and fruit.).

In addition to their plates, where their real talent lays is, actually, in their coffee. “From the beginning, the vision for Joni’s Coffee Roasters was to be more than just a place to get coffee,” they explain on their website, “We offer only the very best coffees and fresh food on our menu. Our coffee beans are collected from boutique farms from all over the world.”

They are not kidding. With each country they roast coffee beans from, they separate and mix their own secret batches with an incredible  1950’s 30 kilo German Coffee Roaster. This roasting machine is enough to make any coffee connoisseur or grower drool;  It is capable of roasting nearly 50,000 pounds of coffee each month for not only their customers locally,  but their growing online fans across the country. The antique roaster produces a distinctive, complex aroma and consistent roast quality that cannot be compared anywhere.

Trust us, you will taste not only taste the difference, but, most likely agree that Joni’s is one of the best coffee shops in Marina Del Rey.

Also at Joni’s, never worry that you are not getting the absolute best water available as they brew your java. They use fresh reverse osmosis water daily and each cup is in its own single cone and paper filters and dripped right in your cup. They then repeat that same task for all customers.

“The coffee they roast – their own label for purchase – is brewed fresh per cup, in glass no less!” says one happy Yelp-er, “I’m a big fan of the rice eggs ground turkey tomato bowl, but the omelets are awesome too.” while another fan writes, “Gotta say, the coffee is superb.  Iced coffee looked good, too. Can’t  wait to try that next time!”
